Top 10 Largest Shareholders in MTN Uganda after IPO

MTN Uganda received 535.9 Billion or $150.2 Million in an undersubscribed IPO which is about 12.96% of the company’s share capital representing 65% of the offered shares at IPO.

The IPO added 21000+ more shareholders to Uganda’s largest company by revenue, which is also the largest telecom company by market share.

Here is the list of top 10 shareholders of MTN Uganda and the shares they own.

  2. NSSF Uganda – 8.84%
  3. Charles Mbiire – 3.99%
  4. National Social Security Fund – Sanlam – 0.26%
  5. Bank of Uganda defined benefits scheme -Sanlam – 0.19%
  6. NSSF Kenya Sanlam– 0.18%
  7. Duet Africa Opportunities Master Fund – 0.13%
  8. EFG Hermes Oman LLC – 0.12%
  9. First Rand Bank Limited – 0.10%
  10. Uganda Revenue Authority Staff Benefits 0.08%
  11. Other 21,394 shareholders – 3.06%
