What A Weekend! Football In The Rest Of Europe, PSG, Barcelona, Bayern And Real Madrid All Squander Points

It was not weekend as usual for European football giants as they squandered points with with PSG, the weekend’s surprise package after losing 2:0 against Rennes without attempting a shot on target.

A Messi-Neymar-Mbappe combination didn’t manage a single shot on target and after eight league matches without a loss this season, the Mauricio Pochetino side lost their first of the season, and first since April.

In La Liga, it was shock as Real Madrid who had five days ago fallen to Moldovian and debutant side Sheriff Tiraspol in Champions League went on to lose 2:1 in Espanyol

Real Madrid Old Boy Raul de Tomas and Aleix Vidal scored for Espanyol with Karim Benzema notching one for the visitors who had their 25 La Liga match unbeaten run ended.

Still in Barcelona, the Catalan Club lost their first league match this season with a 2:0 humbling away to Atletico Madrid. Thomas Lemar and Barca Old Boy Luis Suarez tamed Koeman’s side to add to their champions league misery that saw them lose 3:0 in succession to Bayern Munich and recently Benfica.
