Tuchel who who guided PSG to a first appearance in a Champions League final in 2020, saw Chelsea finish in the top four in the Premier and also beat favorites Manchester City 1:0 in the Champions League finals on 29th May at Estadio Do Dragao in Portugal.
On signing a new contract, Tuchel noted…

He had initially signed an 18 months contract but his outstanding performance convinced Roman Abromovich-Chelsea’s owner, and as a reward, a contract extension was awarded to the former Dortmund coach.
Upon his arrival in January, Chelsea were winless in the last five matches and stood 9th on the table plus failing to go past the Champions League Quarter finals in the last seven seasons but the coach’s antics saw the less fancied Chelsea side win the undisputed champions league finals against Manchester City.
