Messi is set to sign a two year contract with French side PSG FC. The deal is only left with a medical to be completed so as the former Barca player becomes a PSG player.

Barcelona were leading the chart before Messi’s departure on £238M but Barca’s expenditure now slopes down to only £195M and thus stands fourth.

France’s highest tax bracket is 45 per cent and so Messi’s gross annual salary will be in the region of €63m (£53m), taking his gross earnings to just over £1m a week.
A press conference will be held tomorrow, Wednesday 11th August at the Parc Princess where the star will be announced as a new signing, subject to medical.
