Euro 2020:Ronaldo breaks Euro Scoring record as Portugal edged Hungary.

Christiano Ronaldo broke Euro Scoring record scorer as his side Portugal edged past Hungary in a match played in front of 60.000 spectators in Budapest, Hungary. Ronaldo also became the first player to feature in five Euro tournaments.

His brace means he currently stands at 11 European goals overtaking Michelle Platini’s nine goals record.

Portugal who are favorites for this tournament opened the scoring in the 84th minute through Raphael Guerrero, Ronaldo scored his first three minutes later before he completed a brace in on the 90th minute Mark.

Portugal is looking to win a third straight European trophy after winning Euro 2016 followed it with the inaugural Nations league in 2018.

Portugal are grouped in group F along Germany, France and Hungary. Portugal next play on Saturday 19th June,2021 against Germany at 7pm before completing their group match against World Cup reigning champions France on Wednesday 23rd June,2021 at 10pm.
