The Euro 2020 has reached at the Quarter Finals with surprise omissions and promotions. Here we take a look at who progressed and who faces who at the Quarter Finals.
Most surprising was the members of the group of death (F) who all bowed out of the tournament yet they were title favorites. They include reigning champions Portugal, France, Germany and Hungary.
Portugal lost to Belgium, France to Switzerland whereas Germany lost a knock out match against England for the first time in 55 years.
England won 2:0 against Germany, thanks to a goal apiece from Raheem Sterling and Harry Kane. Sterling scored all England’s first goals at the Tournament, the first since Garry Lineaker in 1986.
Netherlands lost to Czech Republic and Shevchenko’s Ukraine edged past Sweden with a 2:1 extra time win to storm the Quarter Finals. Shevchenko who scored Ukrane’s first goal at the Euro 2012 also became the first coach to guide the country to the knock out stages of the Euros.
The Quarter Finalist include Belgium, Switzerland, Czech Republic, England, Denmark, Ukraine and Italy.
