After three years of serious football that has seen him even play football for national Football team, Derrick Ndahiro has had his tenure at the sixteen time Uganda Premier League champions ended.
Here is all he sadly wrote down saying goodbye to a team that has introduced him to senior football.
Dear SC Villa fans,
As some of you may already be aware, this week, I say goodbye to a glorious club that is SC Villa. I want to thank this club wholeheartedly for according me my first ever opportunity to play Premier League football. It has been a proud honor to represent this club.
About three years ago, courtesy of Coach Moses Basena, I was brought to Villa Park. Over the years here, I have grown and become a better player. I am forever grateful to you Coach Moses. May God bless you richly.
To the Jogoo faithful that have supported me since the first day I wore this jersey, Thank you! Easily the best fans in the republic. I hope you understand my pursuit for new experience. To my teammates over the years, I salute you. Throughout all the challenges and happy times, it was a real honour to play alongside all of you. You all made me a better team player. I similarly thank the technical staff; the coaches and administrators for your advice and guidance.
Sad as it is, the time has come to move on but I take with me many memories, lessons and great moments that will live with me forever. I will be joining Uganda Revenue Authority (URA FC) a club which I want to thank for the next opportunity they have given me.
Finally, I would like to wish SC Villa success for the future. I will always cherish The Jogoo in my heart. You will always be a part of me.
Thank you with all my heart.
Derrick Ndahiro
