Barcelona Confirms Ronald Koeman Will Remain At The Club As Head Coach.

Days after Messi agreed to extend his stay at the Catalan Club on reduced wages, Barcelona has announced Netherlands tactician Ronald Koeman will also remain at the Copa Del Rey champions as head coach.

Club President Joan Laporta said, “Ronald Koeman will continue to be the Barça manager next season.”

Messi agreed to extend his stay at Barcelona on reduced wages and on condition that the Catalan Club signs Erling Haaland, one of the current Europe’s hot cakes.

It remains to be seen if the Ronald Koeman coached side can lure the Norwegian’s signature in the forthcoming summer transfer window.

The club has already acquired the services of former Manchester City duo of defender Eric Garcia and striker Sergio Aguero and according to Talksport .com, Haaland is probably Barca’s next big fish in the net.

Barca finished third in the La Liga table with 79 points last season, seven adrift of champions Atletical Madrid and five less of second placed Real Madrid.

They lost 5:1 on aggregate to PSG in the quarter finals of the Champions League and Copa Del Rey title was all they could afford all season. However, credit can be given to Koeman’s younger side’s squad that let go of senior players Luis Suarez and Ivan Ractic.
