Sources in Turkey have indicated that the toxic blogger Fred Kajumba Lumbuuye has been released from detention in Turkey.
The release of the strong critic of the Uganda government has finally put an end to the three months of controversy about his whereabouts.
The Kyadondo East Member of Parliament also shadow foreign minister Muwada Nkunyingi today’s morning also indicated that teacher Kajubi Fred Lumbuye had gained back his freedom.
“The legal team in Turkey confirmed to us that Turkish Authorities notified them Fred Lumbuye would be “conditionally” released as all key legal applications were concluded,” Nkunyingi said in a statement.
Nkunyingi said in a statement that their legal team remains committed to promptly follow up on all processes to see Lumbuye free.
A few hours, Muwada Nkunyinga again issued a statement revealing that he personally held a telephone conversation with teacher Lumbuye.
“I have this morning personally held a telephone conversation with FRED KAJUBI LUMBUYE. He is fine and we’ll. He is out of Prison and thanked you all for the prayers and efforts. We shall keep you posted.” Nkunyingi Muwada-MP posted.
