Ever since the arrival of pop star Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu aka Bobi Wine onto the local political scene, his party NUP has been running riot in higher institutions of learning.
And it was no different from the MUK Guild Elections which took part yesterday as NUP’s Shamim Nambasa edged out her competitors to claim the university’s students’ leadership.
Nambasa becomes the 87th guild president of the institution.
Once again MAKERERE has spoken unequivocally. Ladies and gentlemen, behold the 87th Guild President of Makerere University. Congratulations Shamim Nambassa. Congratulations National Unity Platform. Congratulations Uganda.
