Bobi Wine’s team distributing appointment letters to polling agents arrested

Security Operatives have arrested teams belonging to the National Unity Platform that have been distributing polling materials to NUP polling agents just a day ahead of the elections.

The arrested teams were found in Lira and Moroto where they had gone to deliver appointment letters to agents belonging to the NUP flag bearer and party president Robert Kyagulanyi popularly known as Bobi Wine.

Among the arrested individuals include Herman Ainebyona who is the head of NUP team in the diaspora who was gruesomely arrested yesterday Arua while delivering materials.

The military & police are arresting people found distributing appointment letters for our polling agents ahead of tomorrow’s election!” Bobi Wine said “In Lira, Moroto, etc, persons coordinating this are detained & materials confiscated. The EC is yet to respond to our urgent calls to intervene” he continued

With appointment letters and other materials for agents confiscated by the security operatives, the National Unity Platform might end up with no polling agents leaving their votes at the mercy of presiding officers from the Electoral Commission.
