President Museveni Condoles Lucy Nakyobe Over The Loss Of Her Husband

President Museveni today took to his Twitter handle to send his condolences to the State house Comptroller Lucy Nakyobe Mbonye over the loss of her husband Prof Anthony Kabanza Mbonye.

The Prof who was the former Director of Health Services at the Ministry of Health passed away today at his home in Buziga after years of battling cancer.

President Museveni while eulogizing the late Professor said that his death was big blow and disappointment to the country.

“I want to express condolences to our incoming Head of Civil Service, Lucy Nakyobe on account of the death of her husband, Dr. Mbonye. His untimely death is a big disappointment for the country and all who know his work in the medical service.” The President’s tweet read.

The President further added that Prof Kabanza still had a lot to contribute to the country.

He commended Nakyobe for always updating him about the deceased’s health status.

“He still had a lot to contribute. I salute Lucy Nakyobe because she did everything possible to support him during the time of his sickness. She was always briefing me. May his soul rest in eternal peace.” Mr Museveni’s tweet further concluded.

The late Kabanza Mbonye was a Professor at the School of Public Health, College of Health Sciences, Makerere University and Uganda Christian University (UCU).
