The newly sworn-in Kayunga District Local Council Five (LC5) Chairperson of National Unity Platform (NUP) party, Ffeffeka Sserubogo Muhammad allegedly hanged himself to death.
According to NUP spokesperson and Nakawa East MP Joel Ssenyonyi, the deceased was found dead today Wednesday morning behind his house.
‘‘Kayunga District Chair Ffeffekka Sserubogo was found dead this morning.’’ He said.
Locals believe he might have been killed&a rope put around his neck,because he’s been fighting land grabbers in Kayunga.We’re still gathering information&hope investigations will be swift.May He rest in peace.’’ Ssenyonyi added.
Reports coming from Kayunga, Ssserubogo of the National Unity Platform reportedly hang himself today morning at around 6 am behind his house.
According to eye witness from the deceased’s home village, Kyebanja A in Busaale Parish, in Kayunga Subcounty, it is reported that the chairman after having the morning prayers, he went with the rope behind his house and killed himself.
