Former CDF and Minister of Works and Transport General Edward Katumba Wamala has survived an attempt to take his life early this morning when the car he was travelling in was shot at with multiple gun shots on Kisasi-Kisoto road neighborhood of Kampala by unknown assailants.
The shooting spree that happened in just a few minutes left his daughter Brenda dead, his driver was also confirmed dead while the General managed to survive witith wounds and was rushed on Boda Boda to the hospital.
The current Chief of Defense Forces General David Muhoozi was among the first officers to arrive at the shooting scene.
Reports about the General’s life in the hospital have not yet been availed at the moment.
