Gen. Katumba to attend daughter’s burial with bullets in his body

The former army chief and minister for works and transport General Katumba Wamala left Medical Internationals hospital Kololo to attend his slain daughter’s funeral.

Gen. Katumba survived with bullet injuries on Tuesday 1st June 2021 in an assassination attempt attack by armed assailants moving on two motorcycles, unfortunately, the strike left his daughter Nantongo Brenda and driver Kayondo dead in an incident which took place along Kisoto road kisaaasi, a kampala city suburb.

Brenda will be lied to rest in peace at her ancestral home at Kikandwa, Mukono District at 2:0pm today 3rd/06/2021.

In Gen. Katumba’s Wednesday issued statement, he told Ugandans that he had a surgery and one bullet removed. He however added that because of how the other bullet affected his arteries, it was not removed, and the doctors will advise on the way forward.

Nevertheless, he reassured that his injuries are  not alarming and that he will be fine and prayed that he hopes one day the terrorists who tried to assassinate him and took lives of his innocent daughter Brenda and Kayondo who was his driver will be brought to book.

It’s also alleged that the Police officers who were manning the CCTV control room when assailants shot Gen. Katumba have also been arrest.
