Controversial musician Lil Nas X was one of the artists that graced the BET Awards with scorching performance on Sunday Night at Microsoft Theatre, Los Angeles, California.
The singer made it out with one of his male dancers after he kissed him at the end of the performance of his hit song Montero.
The performance had an ancient Egyptian theme with Lil Nas dressed like a pharaoh in a shining gold dress surrounded by male followers.
The performance was done as an honor to Michael Jackson’s 1991 song ‘Remember the Time’ whose chorus was ejected in by Nas into the end of his performance.
Fans reacted differently to the act of Lil Nas kissing a male fan with some describing it as inappropriate while others praised his boldness more especially the LGBT community who are in the pride month.
P Diddy is one of the celebrities that gave him a shout out.

Backlash came out mostly from his followers and fans in Africa who criticized him for using an African cultural setting and then kissing a fellow man which they think that it is not African. Lil Nas was however quick to reply him.
