The All Africa Music Awards yesterday released a list of musicians who are set to compete in this year’s edition.
This saw Spice Diana, Rema Namakula and Afrie pinned against each other in the same category of best female musician in East Africa.
Spice Diana was nominated for her Body song , Rema for her Loco song while Afrie for her I’m an African gyal song.
Eddy Kenzo was nominated for the best East African male artiste.
B2C were nominated as the Best African Group for their collaboration with David Lutalo, Awo.
Shivanah was then nominated for her African act in the Best African Artiste in African tradition.
Double S were also nominated as the best African act in the diaspora.
The other Ugandan nominated is Gagamel boss Bebe Cool who is not new to the awards.
He was placed in the best dancehall category for his Make A Wish song.
Spice Diana took to her social media handles to express her joy at receiving this nomination.
