Sheilah C Gashumba Named Among Most Influential African Ladies on Twitter

Ugandan socialite, Media Personality and Fashion-star Sheilah Carol Gashumba has featured on the list of Top 200 of the Most Influential African Women on Twitter.

On the list released by Smart Data Power, Sheilah came at number 51 in the whole African continent and number one among Ugandan women on the list which made her excited about the recognition.

Smart Data Power is French Company that collects data, enriches it for effective strategies in France and abroad.

The list is topped by Nigerian renowned blogger Linda Ikeji followed by South Africa’s advocate and a Professor of Law Thuli Madonsela at number two.

The list that is dominated by South Africans, Nigerians and Kenyans has Nigerian actress Tonto Dikeh, Bouthaina Kamel of Egypt, Rita Dominic – Nigeria, Martha Karua – Kenya, Connie Ferguson – South Africa, Betty Kyallo – Kenya, Sarah Abdelbaky – Egypt and  Toke Makinwa from Nigeria occupy the remaining of top 10 positions respectively.

Sheilah Gashumba commands a huge following on 356,300 people a monthly reach of over 10 Million people making her not only one the most followed ladies on twitter in Uganda but also one of the most influential on the blue bird app.

Dr. Ruth Aceng, Uganda’s Minister of Health made it at number 64, 1st Deputy Prime Minister of Uganda and Minister of East African Affairs Rebecca Alintwala Kadaga made it at number 81, while Permanent Secretary of Health Dr. Diana Atwiine made it at number 84.

NTV Presenter and Tik Tok queen Lynda Ddane, Flavia, Sarah Kagingo, Grace Natabaalo, Ka Malaika, Joyce Bagala, Mable Twegumye Zake and Evelyn Namara are the other Ugandans who made it to the continental list.

Twitter has emerged to become one of the most influential social sites in fields of diplomacy, activism, information and entertainment rivaling Facebook and Instagram in Africa.
