The inaugural awards of Janzi Awards happened at Kololo Independence Hotel on Saturday evening on December 11th that saw creators in the arts industry recognized.
Unlike other awards that choose to specialize, Janzi Awards were general in nature recognize a wide range of talents from book writers and authors to film industry creators, musicians, cartoonists, comedians, arts and culture centers like museums and many others.
Over 300 individuals and institutions were nominated while voting was done online both on Twitter and Janzi Awards website that saw up to 75000 total votes being collected to choose the winners out the best.
