The service is so far available in 9 countries which include Uganda, Ghana, Kenya, Rwanda, Nigeria, Ghana, Tanzania, United Kingdom and United States with plans to expand into more markets.
In November 2021, the company was valued at $2 Billion after receiving funding of over $305 Million in Crowd funding A, B and C series making the company the largest African startup by valuation ahead of Jumia which is currently at $1.08Bn after a share price fall in mid November.
As of December 15th, the app so far has 4 Million registered across Africa and outside Africa in United States and United Kingdom.
The app allows users to send money within the country, send money across borders in 9 countries so far, and buy airtime and data bundles.
The app has additional features for users in selected countries which include investing in stocks (shares) in major international companies that are listed on US Stock Exchanges like Tesla Inc, Meta Inc (Facebook) Alphabet Inc (Google), Microsoft Inc, PayPayl Inc, Visa Inc, Apple Inc, etc, and investing cryptocurrencies starting with the most common cryptocurrencies of BitCoin, DogeCoin and Ethereum.
